A quick conversation with @kingkillion the other night made me think about practical AK rifles. I dug through the parts bin after much deliberation and libation I deigned that my trusty WASR was in need of some new drag. On it went a plain polymer buttstock to save weight and better survive moisture in this Winter season and my  trusty, crusty Midwest quadrail. That of course meant my HK VP9B had to come out in the sun too, for the 5 minutes it shone today.
